As a white lady I have 100% respect for POC that hate me. That see me, know nothing about me personally and still choose to hate me (or, want nothing to do with me). A tiny group of people hating me outright is nothing compared to the white privilege I will have until the day I die. That is my legacy, whether I like it or not.

Male privilege is my rapists feelings being more important than mine.
It’s his voice being louder and more listened to. It’s the fact that he won’t get charged or ever punished because people would rather believe that I am making it up than that a man ‘with such potential’ was a sadistic, violent abuser.
White privilege is when they would beleive it if he was Aboriginal.
Male privilege is the fact that your peers and family would prefer to justify your actions and blame your victim when it has been proven that less than 0.6% of rapes reported to the police are false.
White privilege is knowing Aboriginal women are 5 times more likely to be victims of sexual assault than white women, and still having more access to support services and therapy than them.
Male privelage is the fact that only two in a hundred rapes reported to the police will ever result in even one day spent in jail.
White privilege is knowing that even with those statistics, I am still more likely to see my rapist jailed than an Indigenous woman with the same experience.
